– Mommy, my curtain is broken.
– Yep.
– We have to call God.
– Really?
– Yes mommy. God can do anything! He can fix the curtain!
– That’s very true… and who else do you think we could call?
– Gilbert.
– Who’s Gilbert?
– Mommy, Gilbert is the man who came to fix the bathroom.
(Gilbert the handyman did come to fix the bathroom maybe 3 weeks ago, and she saw him for 15 minutes. I had completely forgotten his name… and I thought my memory was good!)
Thanks for the dialogue with Zoe. Kids, and perhaps especially premies, are amazing. I think Geovy has an incredible memory for details also. About 2 months after returning from visiting my sister in NE, Geovy commented that she has an oval on her door. I called her, and yup, the window on her front door is oval shaped! 😊 Maybe God gives special gifts to kids with certain challenges.
Agree Terry! Listening to Zoe is the best part of being a mom… I love every minute of it.
Guada –
